The wood (3/4") MDF is a heavy stock. I'd make a complete guess of 30 bucks or so if I could get a good size box.

Materials would be around 30-40 bucks.

I'm not really sure how much I'd charge. Just enough to make it worth my time. Probably somewhere between 125-150, depending on shipping. If I could get a few people interested (maybe 3), then I could knock them all out at the same time. The table saw is about a 30 min drive each way plus the time it would take to go to the hardware store, then the time to cut. Should be about a half day at most, that's not too bad.

I'd probably make it pretty easy on the buyer - include screws, glue, carpet, and already have the terminal cup mounted. All you'd need is a power drill, box cutter, and 3M spray glue.

I'm fairly busy with work right now, but give me a week or two to crunch some numbers and think about it and I'll get back to you and whoever would be interested.

hell yeah bro that sounds like a plan to me! take your time, i know your a busy dude so whenever you get some free time like you said, just let me know. I would rather just buy the materials (send you the $ for them) and then of course pay you for your time, shipping, and whatnot.. def. let me know!

Yeah, it's a great alternative for those who don't have the tools or the know-how. I'll look into over the next week or two to cover all the bases and get back at ya!

Re: Matt's 2006 WK Stereo Build Log

Hmmmmm...

Kenwood DNX 9140
Sundown SAX 50.4
Sundown SAX 125.2 (bridged)

That gives me;

DNX: time correction, 13-band EQ
SAX: high/low pass crossovers, level control (via gains)

Still missing electronic phase control though.

Re: Matt's 2006 WK Stereo Build Log

Figured id post in here, didnt want to hijack...
Anyways, yea ive been searching for OG SQ decks. Just trying to see what i can pick up and test them all out. I had my hands on a C90, but sold it and never tried it out. I currently own a 350z, but im trading it in for what looks like an 06 or 07 3.7L; hence why im on here.

The W6 is an excellent option. I also like Image Dynamics IDMAX and IDQ subs. As well as Fi.

Yeah, there are always a few OG decks in the classifieds over on DIYMA.

Re: Matt's 2006 WK Stereo Build Log

Well, I just caved under the forces of impulse buying and bought a sub woofer, lol.

Diamond Audio D6 12"

I was really down to that and the JL W6.v2 12" - I scored the Diamond in the DIYMA classifieds.

Time to plan out what I am doing for an enclosure.

Yeah, the D6 is a pretty highly touted woofer - many guys call it a perfect mix of sound quality and the ability to get loud. And supposedly blends very well with the front stage.

I actually might be able to squeeze it in a fiberglassed enclosure in the passenger side rear quarter panel. I'll have to mock it up and see how much space I can get out of an enclosure there. If not, I'll just build a new enclosure similar to what I have now.
