Mopar GPS antenna (mygig rer)

http://www.wkjeeps.com/Mygig_parts.htm#ANTENNA

Are these all the same? Is there a comparable product/company out there that gives better reception/able to find more satellites in comparison to the OEM antenna?

Re: Mopar GPS antenna (mygig rer)

the REC had the big one up in the dash.
not sure waht early rer had but I have seen 09 or 10 with the FLO TV capable have a small antenna near the sunroof. a flat rectangle actually.

my pioneer came with a small little antenna that i shoved under the dash.....where the rec antenna would be. it said it had to go outside but I dont have a problem.

i am guessing you are moving up to the RER . maybe ask the others what they have done successfully; a few here don e it already??

Re: Mopar GPS antenna (mygig rer)

I was hoping that some of the others would chime in. I see so many different p/n's for the OEM antenna I don't want to pull the trigger unless I know for sure AND I'd be willing to spend a few extra bones if there is a better product out there. I know 'oemautopartsco' sells the OEM antenna and a generic version.

Any information would help, I'm clueless. I know that it has to fit the blue connector on the back of the mygig:

I agree, Rob.. the antenna is to be placed under the dash but I'm just trying to lock down a p/n right now. And yes, I have seen a Jeep with two antennas on the roof, one for the SAT and the other for FloTV

I know that the MyGig that I bought is a 09 model if that helps.
