Re: Mopar/Kicker upgrade amp installed

the jl audio 500/1 is a good amp. expensive though for 500 rms. i had a really nice audio system in my car. It was nice but just not worth all the effort unless you listen to rap music, alot bass. That is when the system really shines. I had two 12 inch jl audio subs with a 1,000 watt amp. Any of the music I listen to hardly made the subs go to work but when I threw a rap cd in they pounded away. Really, its all about what you listen to. I dont want to take up space and use up my alternator for a slight bass increase in my music.

When you are running bass amps off of your alternator especially for rap music your alternators life is going to be like 2-3 years.

I paid $165 shipped for the JL 500/1, brand new on ebay. The JL 450/4 amp I paid $325 shipped brand new on ebay. The JL 10W6v2 I paid about $114 shipped brand new on ebay because I bought two and sold one.

I went on ebay every day for about 2 months straight for those deals. I knew what they typically sold for, being new or used, I did my homework basically. I would type in JL Audio because thats what I knew I wanted and I would be able to skim thru the pages real quick knowing whats a good price or whats not. I low bid all the time, and finally got lucky winning them. Like when I won a brand new set of the Mopar ground effects for the WK for $200. Usually the auctions that end during the middle of the week no one really bids on which is when I won everything, thats why when I ever sold things on ebay I had it so the auction ended at night on a friday or saturday when people are home on there computer. The big thing is dont be in a rush to buy things if you dont really have to, take a week at least of searching around for the best prices.

Re: Mopar/Kicker upgrade amp installed

And now whats great is I know I can sell these amps and the sub back on ebay and probable make money off them if i ever wanted to, maybe not the 450/4 amp for it used, but the 500/1 amp I would sell for over $200 and prob get about that for the 10W6v2 sub if I shipped them for free.

Friday and Saturday nights are the best, around like 10pm. I have sold things where I would see everyone start bidding within the last 30 seconds, see the bids go up and up until the last second. I admit, its addictive and I have done that many times before, wanting something and seeing the price go up within the last seconds so I try and outbid the person. Lol. Its like a game and fun.
