Re: My build

I think mine might be slightly different. I had TWO wire clips that blocked entry to its entirety. I couldnt pass any wires unless I removed that effing plastic clip. I was about to use the factory wire anyway... besides, even if I wanted to I wouldnt have been able to wire the other 2 speakers since there isnt any room to mount the xover in the door (its kinda big). I literally cut the plastic sleeve off.

you can always find money for car audio. if you ever need any i have too many amps and subs laying around that i could hook you up with for cheap.

Re: My build

Update:

Finished the front door entirely with xovers wired as well. Ive run the front door wiring to the rear and the 6 channel rcas. I had a good idea which worked well: I used electrcal tape and wrapped it around the left front speaker wire with the 6 channel rca plugs which helped me big time on running it to the back of the jeep.

I actually should have this done tomorrow. I need to do the back doors, amp wiring, mount BA amp and everything should be history

Re: My build

Ok! More updates!!! Almost done! Im excited... really excited. i lost my motivation and excitement in the past week but Ive gained it back . I have no clue what it will sound like but have high hopes and expectations it will be one of the best HQ systems Ive ever heard.

^ Here I have taped the 6ch RCA's cables and the Left FR speaker wire together to allow easier install, it worked nicely. Btw, Im amazed I was able to tuck these away under the kick panels and rails.

^ Had to cut all the way down to the insulation to get this sucker to fit!

^ This is one bad ass ground job Im rather proud of.

^ Here youll see the plastic sticking up from the thick ass wires under it at the lip of the amp where all the connections are. Ill address it tomorrow cut the insulation more to accommodate the bulge. Not too worried about it though, the wires arent pressed or kinked on any metal and the insulation on all the wires are pretty damn thick too.

Every thing in the rear is wired up (Amps, Subs) and the front doors are done as well. All I need to do now is do the fun stuff with the headunit (RCA's and remote wire) and the last big hurdle is cutting into the rear doors (Might not happen tomorrow but will be soon).

I will only have a video once ALL the speakers are in as I will employ the Imprint system to tune everything.

Re: My build

Btw that insulation is made of unobtainium... its a giant pain in the ass to cut. The Dremel pulled me out of that ditch.

Oh and sorry for the dirtiness... Im in the middle of a MAJOR install so cut me some slack!

Re: My build

Thats what i thought. the first pics show it on top, then the last pics its hard to see. Did you put something around the amp? do you have a close up pic of the after shot. and its looking real nice so far. what kind of box are you going to use?
