Question MyGig and aftermarket components/subs...how are you running it???

I really really don't want to get rid of my Mygig factory head unit and i was wondering what you guys have PERSONALLY used and with the best results?

I know the sound won't be as nice as an aftermarket head unit but i'm not that much of a sound stickler!

What processors are you using? What PAC audio adaptor is a definitive success???

I've researched everywhere but can't seem to find a straight answer and i'm sure there's plenty of you with mygigs and sound systems!

I ahve an 08 Jeep with the lowspeed mygig RER i believe

Thanks!

Re: MyGig and aftermarket components/subs...how are you running it???

I got a line out converter and wired the sub, amp to the rear speakers. Gauge wire to the battery and a bass knob for better sub control. Done! None if the supermarket wires lead to the mygig, just the rear speakers... If you run it to the front speakers, your Bluetooth conversations will feed through the sub, too. You probably don't want that.

paul i would look at the lockpic or navtogo harness. it hacks the myGig but it also adds rca inputs for amps and such. not sure about speakers.

ekaz has been working on his so he may be a good place for questions

Hi,

I am in the same boat as you, however, I am a sound stickler.

The best place to start your research again is at crutchfield.com under car factory sound processors (the stuck it with car amps). There you will see the options for OEM integration.
http://www.crutchfield.com/g_318850/...s.html?tp=6870

The better processors will dramatically improve the OEM HU sound quality.

Once you selected an interface, it is just a matter of finding amp(s) and speakers to go along with your taste and budget.

Best for now
