navigation bypass

I scrolled 3 pages back and didnt see anything so figured if give it a shot... can the 2012 WK2 navigation systems be bypassed where i can type in a address while driving yet? This is really annoying ive found on my trip to MN from GA... it should allow it when it senses a passenger in the front seat for the airbags i would think... that would be great... a plus would be for the DVD player to work but thats not a huge concern right now... mainly want to be able to type in a address on the go... anything for it yet or am i just screwed when the GPS takes me to the wrong place and im trying to alter the address when driving around lost... thank fellas...
