Re: New Lockpick by Customtronix

I followed the instructions from the link and they say to put the switch nr. 3 down but the original instructions say to put it up.
Now I have not a clear display when I call the menu and when I play ipod videos.
Which instructions should I follow?

I'm using a 2 port USB charger in the cubby located 12v plug. One goes to the push2tv one to the converter. The wires are tucked up and out of the way.

The converter is behind the dash while the push2tv is on the cubby. This allows me to grab the HDMI cord if needed for another source.

Don't think the price went up. I think it worked out to $448 for the silver package.

Yeah, I think I'm an idiot and just assumed it was all in USD until I looked closely at it today. I saw that you updated the firmware on the push2tv, would you recommend doing anything else? I'm looking to duplicate your setup and wondering if you would do anything differently. I love the idea of having the HDMI available so we can add Chromecast or any other source as things become available. Thanks for all the help

Chromecast mirroring was released today for select devices.

Nothing different should need to be done. I feel like I have an easy to upgrade system as far as sources go. You will probably get choppy video/audio from your device if you don't update the firmware on the push2tv.

I was really hoping that it wouldn't require an actual wifi network as I don't feel like paying for hotspot access. According to Google, creating a faux ad hoc network is not supported at this time.

"Your phone or tablet cannot cast to Chromecast if it is connected to your mobile network. Your phone or tablet must be connected to a WiFi network.
The smartphone, tablet or computer you are using to cast must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast. "

I think I'll just go with Miracast for the time being, but steal CLSTech's idea of having the HDMI readily available.

Nice find. Looks like the same unit the CRUX kit is using in their package...

New Lockpick by Customtronix

Before getting my car serviced/maintained, what are the actions that I need reverse?
- only software changes?
- or software, harness, front cam and all attached devices (Apple TV)?
