Newer audio options?

Hi, i have a 2014 limited and it's getting close to being off warranty.. so i ordered a eibach lift kit (to get rid of the clunking shocks) and am in the mood to start doing things to it.. When i got the vehicle the options for adding a amp and speakers are pretty bad. (at least to me.. didnt' want to rewire the whole thing) Just curious if anyone has come up with a plug in solution to add a 5 channel amp and good speakers. My jeep has the 8.4AN and i think 9 speaker system.. thanks..

Re: Newer audio options?

Can replace the headunit, so you're looking at something to sum the channels (RF 3sixty, bitone, etc.) and then from the amp you could tap into the speaker wires after the factory amp. Nothing easy that I've heard of yet.

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.

Odd I to have a grand Cherokee 2014 limited, but I have that 5 inch screen.... (Anyone know why ? Cause I feel a tad ripped off here.) I was wondering if I could put an aftermarket HU and what I need. And if everything will work the same as well?

The 8.4A and 8.4AN display is standard on the Overland and Summit, optional on Limited. Your dealer didn't order it.

Replacing your 5.0 head unit with an aftermarket unit would probably be something you wouldn't want to attempt as this is more than a radio unit... you'd lose UConnect and access to a lot of vehicle related settings, which I'd wager would throw a lot of error codes and system related problems.
