Re: Panicing here !!!

Half way through the install. Everything hooked up and working, now still waiting for the camera, bezel trim and sub wiring. Had a little bit of a dilema when trying to figure out where to mount the KPT-445 Alpine amp. Amazingly enough, in the HU cavity, there are 2 metal tabs, not the ones that rest on top of the factory radio, behind and above those. The Amp slides right in there and is sandwiched between the top of the dash and the tabs. Almost like Chrysler planned that way ... lol

Already had one a week earlier. Patience is not my strong suit and I purchased one from Just Jeeps. Just about to run the GPS wire from the back.

Re: Panicing here !!!

even the factory shoves their GPS antenna under the dash. so if you can, do that. mine does not seem to have a problem in there.

then its just the camera and if you have sat radio. sat factory is in the rear. i was able to reuse the antenna but had to get a new sirius box and interface.

may I ask what rear camera you got? and how you plan to mount it.
I need to finish this also. I ran the cables I just need a cam/

Re: Panicing here !!!

Already ran it through the A pillar and then right to the back. Mounted the antenna right behind the hatch. No SAT radio or sirius for me. Just like my ipod and local stations ...lol. I did alot of research for the cam and the Optix RVC 900, seems to fit the bill for price, functionality and being able to mount where the factory one would.

Re: Panicing here !!!

Sub is finally all hooked up. Not sure if its the acoustical difference between my grand am and the Jeep but not getting the thump I did before. When trying to set up the sub, I couldn't get the servo light on steady. Came close once but blew the 10amp HU fuse.
