Hi JeepGarage forums,
I recently purchased a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The previous owner has removed the original stereo and replaced it with a normal single din car stereo. I would like to replace this stereo with a new one that can connect to my iphone and can be controlled via the steering wheel controls.
As it stands the back seat Video Entertainment System is intact but doesn't seem to work. You can input and eject a dvd from it so it has power but that's as far as I have been able to get. I'm not sure how it typically works?
In order for the VES to work do you need the original factory stereo?
Is it possible to get a newer model factory stereo say from a 2009 and still have the VES work?
Are there any third party stereos single or double din that would allow the VES to work?
Is Ebay the best place to look for replacement stereos? The cheaper the better!
Thanks,
Nalhutta
