Hello, I am in the same boat, I purchased 2012 RHR navagation radio off eBay that was out of a Town and Country. I am now trying to install it in my 2011 Jeep Wrangler. Does anybody have any ideas on how to reset security code. Thx
Did this work as I am getting a 430N off of ebay and I'm pretty sure it will ask for the anti-theft code? They are telling me I need the Uconnect wiring harness. None of the dealerships in South Florida have a clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am having the same problem with a NTG4 730 RHR out of a 2012 JK I bought off a guy and the dealership has no clue of what to do? I guess I am out $1000.00
I was able to get code from seller . Did not know vin of vechicle it was removed from.
All good up and running. RHR is a great unit also works with iPhone 4 flawlessly
I'm having the same issues as ianitrix. I called the dealer and nobody has a clue. I purchased a MyGig from a sound shop. Its a 2012 RHR pn05091209 sn:t00be090256069. I've tried the codes 1234 and 1111 to no avail. I know the radio came out of a 2012 Chrysler/Dodge van but that's all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced!
1. Refer to DealerCONNECT> Service> Repair Box> Radio Anti Theft Code.
2. On the Anti-Theft/Radio Code Search screen.
3. Insert radio serial number.
4. Insert 17 digit VIN (of vehicle radio is going in to)
5. Insert radio part number.
6. Select reason.
7. Click on Submit.
8. The 4-digit anti-theft code will be provided.
RADIO ANTI-THEFT CODE PROCEDURE

2. Press the ON/VOL control.
3. The word CODE or Please enter Anti-Theft Code will appear on the display.
4. Enter the 4-digit code by pressing the corresponding preset buttons in sequence
Sorry to drag up an old thread, but searching revealed this is the closest to my question. If I buy an RHR or RHB (2012 or newer) unit and the seller provides the code, does it require dealer intervention to install? I've found a couple out of wrecked vehicles, so I know they aren't stolen but I don't know exactly how the anti-theft thing works. Is the code just entered on the radio itself after installation? Thanks!
I too received a RHR radio from ebay and when i installed it it asked for a security code. i went to 3 dealerships and called 4 others, all of which said that they have no way of getting a code and wouldn't accept the instructions that MILOUS gave ( i think as a point of pride). could someone please help me.

thats what i thought but i cant find one that will do it for me. if you know of a dealer and a rep at that dealer that can help me i will call them. or if someone works at a dealership that would be helpful
I was able to get the code for my radio. turns out it was 0272. the dealership i found to help me told me that only 3 people have access to the "repair box" in the dealerCONNECT. the service shop foreman, service manager, and dealership top manager. so when you call a dealership ask for the service shop foreman as that was who helped me.
