Re: Stereo Install

Im about to rip out my plastics around the windows and install some soundproofing of some type. I also want to remove the roof head liner and install a layer or two of peel n stick to make it more sound.

damn bro my bad a stereo guru asks me a question and I don't have the decency to answer...I am fairly happy with the current speakers (stock BA's) but i am sure in about a year I am going to want to add another amp

yes I am having some vibrations in the rear cargo area...and maybe in the rear passenger seatbelt housing. I expected it. In all honesty, how long would it take to do the entire car with dynamat or equivalent?

Here are a couple pics...I finally took your idea and followed through - I drilled 4 holes in the plastic cargo area and secured my amp I should have taken care of that a long time ago. I also got it to sit square in there and dialed all the wires in

Re: Stereo Install

with the Jeep cargo mat I never use the cargo tray. What do you put in there Irfy? As you can see in the pics, I still have more than half of the space left to put stuff in there...

I like the stock BA system - it's a good stereo.

As for sound deadner - if you don't want to spend crazy amounts of money just target the problem areas. That's what I did.

Look up amplifier 'Sony XM-1S' - you can put that behind one of the interior rear quarter panels - it's a little buggar. Not bad for 500w; Not bad at all.
