my bro has a similar problem with his mustang... check your battery, might be a lil loose... that was what was wrong with his

ok so i got done with work tonight, started my car and my amp didnt turn on. WHAT THE ****!!

Check the connection at the positive battery terminal and power wire. Remove it, scrape away any corrosion (looks like a white hardened paste) and re-tighten your connection.

I had this happen to me once in my previous car.

nope, no corrosion. pulled off the wire and cleaned it and the bolt and nothing.

When I installed my sub I had a similar problem. Turned out the internal wiring in the sub box got all messed up over the 4 months of storage... Might be worth the time to open up the box and take a look.

OK ,Try this , I had amp and speakers installed on my car .. AND on the AMP itself there are these lil wheels that raise the amp sound or lower it Maybe your bro or who every was in car with you put a pack near it and when pulled it out hit the wheels of AMP and lowered the sound....not saying that your problem but it happened to me

Guys, he described that his amplifier was intermittently working... the wiring inside the box or the amp gain knob would not be the culprit of the amp not working.

Of course, there could be a compound issue.
