They only make one new model sub over 10 inches. It isn't rated very high for power (150w) and likely will reqire a large low-tuned enclosure. The WK has the room for it, but you will loose your cargo space, lol.

Re: What do you suggest? Simple subwoofer box & amp to stock MyGig???

Good luck, there's soo many brands and types to buy out there. But I can say I am happy with my JL Audio 10W6v2 running off a JL 500/1 amp. I spent $112 for the sub brand new on ebay and $165 for the amp new on ebay, but that was with alot of searching and low bidding. The enclosure I built myself from a sheet of 2'x4'x3/4" mdf from home depot, but partsexpress sells very cheap sub enclosures I would buy also already made and carpeted. Ebay IMO is a great place to buy new stereo gear. Can def find a JL 250/1 amp and a JL 10" or 12" sub for under $400. The only reason im saying JL Audio is because its all I have installed throughout my WK and im very happy with it, but there are also alot of other great brands out there but I just havent heard anything else in person to give you ideas, other than Focal's but those are $$$. DIYmobile is a great site to do research on, I got alot of help from the threads there.

Re: What do you suggest? Simple subwoofer box & amp to stock MyGig???

No doubt the sub woofer market is way over saturated. Unfortunately, prices still seem a bit high when considering how much of the frequency spectrum they cover (less than 1%).

Whenever I see a question about what sub ______. I just pick the first few that come to my head and then hope the inquirer searches for reviews that will usually lead to more recommendations within that category.

Re: What do you suggest? Simple subwoofer box & amp to stock MyGig???

I love my digi alpine amp but that itself was $400.. a friend of mine gave me his Phoenix Gold sub so I don't have any specs on it and a friend of his built a custom enclosure for it (contours to the rear seats) for $100 including materials.

I had all this installed by an audio shop with bass knob for $300 so my setup cost me around $800.. if you're doing it yourself you'll save some major coin.

For sure. Shops charge a lot for enclosure construction and installation of wiring and whatnot. If you can run your own wires and get a sub that will work in a pre-fabricated enclosure, then you'll open up a lot more of your budget to the actual equipment.

Re: What do you suggest? Simple subwoofer box & amp to stock MyGig???

Research is your friend. Go to caraudio.com and diymobileaudio.com and just do research. Its the best way to figure out what you want by reading hundreds of reviews on different products. Itll lead you in the direction you want to go with what sub/amp combo you want.
Personally, I think a JL 500/1 and a JL 10w6 is a perfect match. Quality products, great sound. Price to some people might be a little high, but you get what you pay for.
Fi makes excellent subs as well. Ficaraudio.com Check them out.

I'd advice against caraudio.com. There are more idiots there than you want to encounter.
