WK Speaker Sizes

Going to start my build soon, but can't find a set answer for speaker sizes. Ive seen that theres brackets that make pretty much all sizes fit, but I'm looking for the most straight forward installation. It's a 2006 WK.

Thanks

Re: WK Speaker Sizes

front doors are 6x9, but most aftermarket 6x9's will not fit depth wise. 6.5 inch adapters for the front doors are very common. rear doors are 6.5 and front dash are 3.5's.

crutchfield.com will help you search for what fits.

Re: WK Speaker Sizes

consider the little wiring adapters that convert the jeep wiring to the speaker....like 4 bux a speaker and you DO NOT cut any wires.

Yes, with a but, when you install them, take a pair of crimpers and just lightly crimp them a hair tighter on the speaker terminals at your new speakers. I've seen so many issues where one of the terminals will come loose if you dont do this.

6x9s in front, 6.5 in back and 3.5 in dash.

Id reccomend going with a good set of 6.5" componets, put the mid in the door and the tweeter in the dash.
