Wk2..... Quest for SQ build.

Hey all,
I'll be posting progress of my 14' Limited system overhaul. I recently bought my jeep a few months ago after totaling my Dodge Ram.

Heres that build if you would like an idea of what to expect here...

Operation: Big speakers little holes - DODGE RAM FORUM - Dodge Truck Forums

My plans for this system are to run completely active. 3 way front stage and sub, possibly rear fill. With a 4 month old baby, and the wife using the car while I'm at work, everything must be out of sight and take up no cargo area. I wouldnt want to have to beat the person that throws a stroller through a $500 sub. Lol

Now for the good stuff. The victim...

Weapons of choice...

2 ground zero gzua4.150SQ
1 ground zero gzua2.250 coming soon

Stereo integrity TM65....

Audiofrog 12" GB12...

Also, scanspeak ring radiator tweeters and a helix DSP pro...

36sq ft of stinger deadener (will be much more before its all over with)...

I will be purchasing some scanspeak 10f 3.5" mid range speakers to put in the pillars. As for the signal, I will run high level from the uconnect 5.0 mainly just for radio and when I'm jamming some metal and all SQ gets thrown out the window. For critical listening, I'm going to use a hifi media player with optical out directly into the helix for the purest signal. Looking at the fiio x7 or ibasso dx80 whenever they hit the shelves.

I already got the 6.5"s in the doors, I will post the pics of that shortly. Let's just say 30sq ft of deadener on 2 doors goes a long way

Ok, first order of business is to give the TM65s a proper home. Fabbed up a couple baffles using 3/4" mdf. Then routed the underside to let them sit down into the oem 6x9 pods a bit.

Then sprayed them with some truck bed undercoating to help protect from moisture.

Now for deadener.

Before...

After...

Was dark, sorry for the bad pics.

Baffle and speaker installed ....

For now these are just run off stock power. Being 2 ohm and 89db efficient, they absolutely blow the factory 6x9s away, a ton of deadener may have something to with it as well. Can't wait to get some power and eq to really wake em up.

How much for everything (speakers, installation, etc)? What area do you live in?

I did so much trading, wheelin and dealing with the equipment from my truck and stuff I had lying around from other builds, I'm not sure where I'm at to be honest.

Retail on what I have now would be about $4k..... But who pays retail. I live in Louisiana
