Re: Wrong Lockpick connector for Mygig Rer?

I got all the parts today and was able to get the unit installed. While I'm glad to have the unit in, there are a couple of issues/questions I have.

- The bezel trim I ordered seems to be a terrible fit. Either that or I didn't install it correctly. I had to really pull/stretch it wider in order to fit around the head unit. Since it's a bit stretched wide, the top and bottom sag in the center. Do I need to dremel down the plastic around the original unit?

- When trying to fit the bezel, I kept accidently hitting the "open/close" button. The screen opened, spit out the CD, but then kept cycling over and over again... like you could hear it trying to spit out another cd, then try to take in a cd. It just kept doing that over and over. The only way I got it to stop was by sticking a CD in it.

- Then, when playing the CD, I shut off the jeep, got out & shut the door & locked it. This shut off the stereo and the head unit went dark, but when I got back in, I could still hear the CD spinning, even though the jeep was off. Then, I started her up, and instead of showing the "JEEP" screen & starting up, it was already back on the CD screen, playing like it was earlier. I'm worried it's going to keep playing while ignition is off and I'm going to come back to a dead battery.

Thanks for any help!

I never had that issue with the mygig when I had it, maybe something with when you hit open and close or it could be something with the lockpick sending a signal to the mygig, but I know when I turn my truck off you can hear a fan still running to the mygig no matter if there's power or not it must draw some power to cool down the unit, I was worried too bc I always heard it but I now know it is the fan bc in my req radio there was no fan that loud but in the rer it was a loud fan sound, which you may be mistaking the cd spinning for
That, and sometimes my truck just jumps too the nav screen without jeep, I think it all has to do with how it is powered before and how you turn the truck on.
