If one axle is to short would it cause this?

OK so the front left axle makes a clicking noise when I spin the tire so I think that axle might be broke

If one drive shaft is broken or loose, then it has on the diff the same effect as one wheel spinning, the other can just stand still. So with a broken/loose drive shaft, the differential will let the broken/loose part turn with double the normal speed and the other drive shaft will not receive any torque. So its time to remove the driveshaft and see what is going on in there.

Yep I did and its way to short! I don't know how they sold me the wrong one! They r going to replace it for free. Thanks for your help!

Is what I did is remove the axle but then tapped the axle in further and it locked rite into the diff! But the nut has no room to thread on so it was to short
