Angry 04 4.7 grand quit while driving wont start back

Hello,
I have a 04 grand 4.7 cherokee. It quit on me going down the road last week and will crank but wont start back. It has no spark or fuel pressure, gauge shows empty, the skim light is on steady now, I have 5 volts at map sensor, throttle position, and crank position sensor(i replaced crank position) I found where the fusible link had almost burnt in to at the fuse panel under the hood. the previous owner had taped it after the cover had melted. i repaired it and checked the battery ends, battery voltage, had battery load tested. i was trying to set cruise control when it quit, dont think this would cause these problems....Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
i need a direction to go in

Thanks JWR

Re: 04 4.7 grand quit while driving wont start back

Welcome to the garage.
Did you check the PCM fuses first? #6, #19 and #26 in the PDC under the hood and fuse #12 on the junction block.
For some reason the PCM has no output on the PCI data bus (fuel gauge indicating empty while there is fuel and volt gauge showing 0v while the battery voltage is above 12V and the SKIM light on continuously).
Also no fuel pressure means that the PCM does not switch the fuel pump on.
If all the fuses are ok, then a good change that the PCM is toast.
