2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Grab Handle/Coat Hook Install/ power seat issue

Hey Guys! picked up a 2003 Grand Cherokee Limited last week and absolutely love it! was a little old ladies Jeep, so really no dings or dents, and only 52,000 miles! It is missing the rear passenger Grab handle and coat hook. i know the grab handle screws in, but i do not know how it hooks up so that the light turns on. do you guys know of any places i can find out how to wire it up so that itll work? and any ideas how the coat hook pops into the hole for it? any help is much appreciated. Got this Jeep for my first car and absolutely love it!

Side note: the passenger power seat will just click and will not move forward or back. The motor isnt dead, because the power recline works just fine. any ideas on this one?

The recline motor is a different one as the forward rear motor, so that the recline works, doesnt say a lot.
Does the fwd/aft motor make any noise when activated. Many times the problem is too dry tracks, causing too much drag. If there is no noise at all, then the problem can be the motor, switch or wiring.

It kind of makes a click, and doesnt do anything. when i first got it it would move slightly back and forward.

Re: 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Grab Handle/Coat Hook Install

I would try some WD40 or alike on the tracks.

Sounds good. when i first got it it moved back and forth slightly, but not anymore, just clicks. I have ordered my missing grab handle also. i know the grab handle itself just screws in. would you happen to have any idea how the grab handle connects to the wiring so that the bulb powers on when the door is opened? i didnt see any wiring harness in the hole where the handle was.

Attached the wiring schematic for the courtesy lights. The wires must be in there, but maybe moved out of sight?
