Back in the day, the Dino 10W-30 had fewer VI added to them(relative to a dino 5w-30), so Chrysler speced 10W-30 on the theory the Dino 10W-30 would not shear down as much as a Dino 5w-30.

With todays better oils and synthetics and xw-30 grades should be good.

I have some 10w-30 Rotella T5 in mine since I scored some gallons at 11$ a jug a few years back. Will go back to M1 or PP once I use up the Rotella T5.

Im due an oil change in about 1k, and hopefully german castrol is on sale. Hurts a little when its $10qt
