4.7l Engine rebuild

Does anyone roughly know the cost for a complete engine rebuild on a 2000 4.7l V8 if it was done at a shop?

Re: 4.7l Engine rebuild

Just a thought since the currency conversion (US dollar v Aussie dollar) is attractive for you. Of course, the shipping is a factor but worth examining imo.

These Jeep folk are A grade 2000 4.7L V8 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LONG BLOCK 2000

I'd pay $6050 A$, but you'd pay ~ $4477 US$ ( plus shipping)
PS You could do the assembly yourself after having the machining done by a pro. That pegs the needle on the 'satisfactionometer'!

ATB!

Wink Re: 4.7l Engine rebuild

I'll give 'em a call and see what they say. I bet they have previously moved heavy Jeep spares stateside.Back in 2002 a US dollar bought 2 Aussie dollars. In 2012, due to the mining boom ( now fading) the US only bought .90 Aussie. Now, the conversion is 1 Aussie buys ~ 0.75 US dollar--thus, good news for those with 'Benjamins' trying to source Jeep gear.

Re: 4.7l Engine rebuild

Parts for the 4.7 are just a little on the pricey side. at least when I was doing it was.
