Actually....to tell a close family secret> Massillon, Ohio. Repping the *330* in my 4.7 H.O. My sister-in-laws attend Hiram. We used to hit up Sea World like a rich uncle when we were kids. How's Aurora nowadays?

Re: 4.7L HO owners

I've had my Snap on scan tool attach and checked my idle speed and mines at 640 rpm. It shows 2 values in the tool. Desired rpm and actual. Desired is 640 and actual is 640.

Your should be about the same. Maybe a little different for the different conditions

Re: 4.7L HO owners

From what I've seen, low idle is IAC cleaning time. Supposedly Jeep at some point added a measure to drop it down to 400-500 rpm, but a TSB reflash should have fixed it.

HAHAHAH...hey...someone's got to rep the 330...might as well be you brother. Aurora's built up quite a bit. A lot less open space and a lot more shopping plazas. Geauga Lake is a vast wasteland...like something out of a bad zombie movie. Waiting for them to do something big there. That lake is too nice to not do SOMETHING.

So in your opinion, 500 is low when warm? I know that IAC is spotless, I just cleaned it when I installed my new bored TB. Maybe the IAC itself is getting ready to take a dump?

Thats possible, it might not be opening up enough to maintain a higher idle? Or perhaps the connectors are corroded? If there are no codes though you are ok, if the idle was out of range (couldn't find what that range is) the PCM would throw a code.

Re: 4.7L HO owners

I did a little web research guys and it seems no 2 wjs seem to idle the same rpms so I wouldn't worry about it. Seems like they idle anywhere from 450 to 700.

Lol, all that fancy computer controlled stuff with the PCM and TCM and the myriad of sensors and they can't maintain a consistent idle...

Yeah buddy seems like they put more time into torque management and weird fuel filters than idle control
