Neoprene seat covers really help, but the only down fall to them is that they are really expensive.

I'll be reviving this post - there's an easy way round this. Grab hold of the metal frame of the car before you get a foot on the ground - you are good to go.

Get a foot on the ground before you touch the metal and you will be zapped - if conditions are right.
