Air conditioning fault

Hi guys,
I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee Overland 4.7 ho v8. The Air conditioning compressor will not cycle out unless i turn the air conditioning switch off. If i dont turn it off it turns the evaporator into a block off ice.
I have tested everything and all seems good.
Any information will be appreciated.

Re: Air conditioning fault

I would say that the pressure transducer is not working. Depending on the pressure measured by this sensor, the PCM will command the compressor on or off.

Re: Air conditioning fault

When you look down from the radiator cap, you can see the transducer in the AC line. It can be removed without loosing the charge of the system, a schräder valve in the connection will close as soon as the transducer is removed, but a little bit of refrigerant can escape during this process.
