Brake Upgrade

Hello ,
we replaced our front rotars about 25000 miles agow and they have started to warp. I want to replace them but wondering is upgrading to the EBC Slotted Rotars and Green Pads worth the extra price?

Im not looking for better braking performance just greater longevity

Thanks
Ray

Re: Brake Upgrade

Does your jeep already have the akebono calipers? They where introduced to solve the warped rotor issues. Seems that it is not a 100% cure though.

Re: Brake Upgrade

The old type TEVES caliper has a large spring clip on the outside. Also the Akebonos are silver coloured.
Attached the TEVES caliper with the large support spring (eventhough this is a rear caliper, it looks the same)

Re: Brake Upgrade

I've got EBC's on mine....I've been VERY happy with them, and they see some pretty brutal winters and salt up here in Ohio. I'm running all 4 rotors and sets of pads from EBC.
