Build Thread - Bandit

So over the next few weeks ill be posting up this build thread of my WJ, (if in the wrong section please move admins).
Mostly to keep track of what I have done so far, and in the future maybe ask some people for opinions or advice etc.

Currently:
03 GC Laredo
Front Axel Dana 30 (3.73)
Rear Axel Dana 35 (3.73)
3" Supreme Suspension BB
Coil spring retainers
1.5" RC wheel spacers
3-6" RC adj. Trackbar
RC HD steering stabilizer
Custom Air intake (part specter/generic-DIY)
265/75/16 Cooper Discover ATR's
tinted windows, etc

Upcoming
6" Hybrid lift, part Clayton, IRO, RC and a few generic parts (about 75% parts sitting in closet waiting to get put on just need shocks and Quick Discos) this will go on within a week or 2.
Shocks (probably blistiens)
6" Quick discos (RC or JKS haven't decided)
New front DS (maybe from a ZJ)
Tires - some M/Ts around 33-34 x 11.22- 12 maybe a 305-315

Eventually
Axel swap / upgrade
Regear to 4.10-4.56ish
Winch

Re: Build Thread - Bandit

Painted stock Silver blades black. Sanded to rough up and get some dings out, then wiped clean wit degreaser. Engine block paint, I lived at an apartment at this time some the paint job was not that good, people kept parking next to me lol. Still better than stock i think. There was a couple dings that did show up more after paint.

Next I tinted the tail lights with VHT Night shade (2 coats), And VHT Clear Coat over that (2 coats)
Taped off turn signals and reverse just for visual effect.

Re: Build Thread - Bandit

Then came a BB, I went with Supreme Suspension because they offered a 3" BB lift.
After researching a little, most of the problems i read people had with the 3" BB was coil pops, when flexing and going over obstacles.
So i added some coil spring retainers... basically just some cheapo L shaped bracket. At the time i wasn't doing any real off roading anyhow, and just had stock 225 p tires.
As far as a quick height boost the BB was awesome, but i sson relized the ride quality sucked.
-Only odd thing I noticed is instructions want both front and back installed on bottom of Coils, on the spring perch on axel mount.

Re: Build Thread - Bandit

Went with Cooper Discover ATR's in a 265/75/16.
Decent tire and I got a great deal on them, but about time for a more aggressive tread.
- Bumper off because im also working on a front bumper build.

Re: Build Thread - Bandit

Upgraded a Heavy duty steering stabilizer from RC.
its the $59 one, made the small to medium bumps alot smoother, since this is currentl my DD as well.
- Mounted reverse of the stock, but much thicker diameter, as you can see the stock was worn out.

Re: Build Thread - Bandit

Installed some Tow hooks from Harbor freight less than $20.
Since were not the 3 bolts like the factory.. i had some 3/8 plates cut and drilled and placed that inside the unibody to strengthen it some.
