Alright power perv you go through all the trouble of tinting those tails, putting leds in them and you never quad modded them? WTF? That's one of the first things I did when I came here.Jeesh!

Hearing you guys talk about all these problems and fitment issues with all this Chinese crap is one of the main reasons I've shied away from this lighting stuff. I think I'll stick with my OEM Mexican parts. They drink beer at lunchtime and then take naps.My kind of people

Re: Change Headlights!

HAHAHAHA...hey when you spend $60 in brake light bulbs from V-LED, you try to avoid adding more. That's all I need is $120 worth of brake light bulbs. Besides, I'm investing in carbon fiber dipped parts which is clearly a MUCH more important mod...hehehehhe.

I have thought about doing it, but it's one of those things that got "back-burnered" and after my love affair with VLED's 92 LED bulbs, I decided to shy away from adding anymore bulbage. The existing set up is bright enough. If I hit my brakes on a clear night, the red light might be strong enough to reflect off of your toxic green parts all the way out in PA.

I also have to agree with your statement regarding Mexican made parts vs. Chinese made parts. The Mexicans know they are going to end up driving these vehicles when they cross the border into the US, so they have a stake in building stuff better. Miguelito and Carlos don't want tails falling off their "Yeeps" when they come here looking for a better life.

^^^^^^^^^^ Thanks for shedding some lite on this for me broBe nice to them, they're probably gonna be your neighbor.May I can hire one of their mini Mex's to cut my grass cheap? Let me see,$120 for parking light bulbs,$60 for reverse,$60 for turns, plus whatever for a 3rd brake light.I think I'll keep what I have and have them tinted like you. How does that nasty color light up through the tint?

Lol yes the mexican way sounds pretty good. Like Tony said when we sell these things once they start to fall apart its all but guaranteed that they become border crossing vehicles. I agree about the cheap parts though, I like the look but the quality on these eagle eyes is crap. Like bsmith though my stock ones were giving me trouble too.

However, the gen 3 projectors with HIDs seem to be quite a solid investment so far.

Re: Change Headlights!

Good to know bro 'cause I'd still like to go with the dark projectors and dark grill. I like them because the halo's just seem like they're floating in there. Do ya think I'd loose any light output going from chrome to black?

I bet you could...they'd probably travel hours to cut your grass. It's only a matter of time before they partner with the Chinese and take over the US. We'll all be speaking Spanish and eating egg rolls. You heard it here first.

Yeah dude...bulbage gets EXPENSIVE. That nasty color doesn't show up at all...the LED bulb has so much ass that it turns that ugly azz color red.

I hope you're sitting down because I have something that might shock you. I just happen to have a picture of my tinted tails with the blinker activated handy. Amazing, isn't it?

The chrome doesn't have anything to do with light output, its just in the housing around the projector lens and high beam reflector. I just checked a pic on ebay of the dark projectors and it looks like there is still some shiny reflective material inside the reflector for the high beam, so light output should be the same either way. I chose chrome because I think it really pops with the steel blue, I like the dark ones on Tony's and I think yours would look good with the dark projectors and grille.

Not really amazing, as a pic whore I would expect you to have a picture of just about every possible shot of your jeep!

Do you have a white LED in the blinker?

HAHAHAHHA...

No dude, red in the brake and red in the turn, white in the reverse. That pic came out kinda crappy so I should probably take another one. I was trying to time the blinker and the camera's shutter...ahahhaha.

It's going to be a little less red due the fact that the reflector is that gawd awful color, but as long as I don't see it (covered in paint) it's good with me. It's definitely more red than anything though. I'll try to get a better pic tonight when the sun goes down. I clearly don't have enough photos....

Lol, ok I thought it would be red but wasn't sure. When I go LED in the blinkers thats what I will get, mine will be all red with the clear lens.... I know you're jealous!
