electric fan question

I've put in a new fan motor recently cause my low n high both burnt out. My high kicks on at about 208 or 210. My question is when does the low speed come on? I don't think it ever comes on so maybe relay for low speed is bad. Just wanna kno the temp. Thanks

Re: electric fan question

When i'm not wrong are both the low and high speed relays the same. You could swap them and see if that makes any difference in the temperature when the fan starts. The fan motor has a low speed and a high speed wiring. it can be that the low speed side is inoperative. You could connect wires directly to the fan motor to see if both low and high speed work. I can't send you the wiring diagram now which shows which points on the fan to connect to, maybe some other member can show you.
