EVIC Light MOD

Hi, does anyone know how to mode them lights brighter? Here in finland we must keep our headlights on and thus dimming them lights. It is wery annoying that one cannot read the info at all unless turning them lights off.
Something to be done with the wires I`m sure..

Re: EVIC Light MOD

You should be able to use the instrument dimming switch on the left stalk for this. You can regulate the intensity, but one step before switching also the interior lights to on, the instrument lights will go to full bright, independent of the headlights.

Re: EVIC Light MOD

yeah i know, i mean full on, but just without them rest of the lights. I know it can be fooled like that. Am I really the only one who like to see them at all?

Re: EVIC Light MOD

Donīt understand you. In the dim position just BEFORE the interior lights come on, the instrument lights, odometer and EVIC go to full bright. Is that not what you wanted?

Re: EVIC Light MOD

double post? ... There is no switch, that will bring on the interior lights. This is -02 grand Cherokee Overland, and in that spot there is headlight leveller controll. Only way to get the lights bright is to turn headlamps off.

Re: EVIC Light MOD

My computer froze and it seemed that the message didnīt go. So i made it again and saw that it was double posted.
Limited and overland are the same in this. The left switch stalk, where you can switch the headlights in on, has a second ring, which is used to dimm instrument back lighting, odometer, EVIC and airconditioning panel lighting when the headlights are on. The last position will switch the interior lights in on as well, but the position before this, will make all previous mentioned lights to go to full bright, as if the headlights where not switched on. If this doesnīt work on your jeep like this, then there is something wrong.
