Forged Crank?

Does anyone know where to find a forged crank for my 99 4.7L. I know when they came out with the H.O. it had a forged crank. The motor I'm building will be fully forged internals and i can not find a crank to save my life! Also I'd love it if it was a stroker crank but i think I'm pushing my luck lol

Re: Forged Crank?

i bought mine on ebay under a company that specailzes in the 4.7. the one in the pic below is the part number u need. if it doesnt end in the #509 then its not forged and dont waste ur money. the HO's are the only ones that came forged. ive never heard of someone breaking a cast crank. forged is just extra insurance if ur building a boost motor like mine.

Re: Forged Crank?

I know the regular 4.7 cranks are crack forged but i thought there was a difference. Maybe not lol

Re: Forged Crank?

Jeep0086, did you mean ending in 409? Your crank in the pic says 409 but you typed 509. May be a typo or your trying to trick me lol. And what rods and pistons are you running? P.S. i also dig the ARP bolts/studs!

Re: Forged Crank?

I was running a cast crank on my old boosted engine without issues, acutally the crank was the only thing left in one peace... but that's a different story lol

Re: Forged Crank?

Ouch, What happened? lol As of right now she wont be boosted. Just .030 over, cam, ported heads, '08 intake, Injectors, and so on. Maybe a small turbo soon. But everything internal is forged.

Re: Forged Crank?

3 broken rods, 5 melted pistons and a 5inch hole on the engine block.
At first I thought it was the boost/nitrous combination I was running but when we pulled the a/f logs we notice the fuel pressure dropped instead of increasing... the paxton/aeromotive fuel regulator failed and it cost me an engine.
