GE Nighthawk Headlight Bulb Replacement ?

Do the GE Nighthawk Platinum headlight bulbs {Part #GE 9006NHP/BP2 Low Beam & Part #GE 9005NHP/BP2 High Beam} fit a 2004 GC?

The 2004 GC is not listed as a model they fit, but doesn't the 9005 and 9006 designation mean they fit all 9005 and 9006 applications?

Thanks,

Peter

The bulbs would fit but the wj uses a straight base bulb not the 90 degree angle for the connector so I'm not sure the harness would hook up right. See if they make a 9006xs bulb.

Re: GE Nighthawk Headlight Bulb Replacement ?

If you have Gen III's the angled bulb will fit but it's a pita

Re: GE Nighthawk Headlight Bulb Replacement ?

Thanks to both of you for the responses; I looked at the GE web site for the technical specifications and it does have the 90 degrees base, not the straight one.

I'll look at the wiring harness to see what it involves and if it's feasible or not. The reviews I read said that the GE Nighthawk Platinum's lasted longer than the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's so that was why I was going to try to use those.

I see many references to the Gen III headlights for the GC; how can you tell which ones you have?

Re: GE Nighthawk Headlight Bulb Replacement ?

The Gen III housings have projector lenses instead of standard reflectors for the low beams, this is needed for upgrading to HIDs. The Gen IIIs are distinguishable by the lighted halo rings around the low and high beams and 3 vertical LEDs on the outer edges. If you haven't changed out your headlights you just have the stock reflector housings.

Re: GE Nighthawk Headlight Bulb Replacement ?

Here's my Gen III's, you can see what 01grand is talking about with the projectors on the outer sides and you can't really make them out here, but there's 3 led's on each housing on the outer sides.
