Re: Hello jeep owners

Welcome to the garage.
The monitor will run by itself, depending on a preset schedule. For the monitor to pass, the following is required:

1. The PCM must go through 50 warm-up cycles over a driving distance GREATER then 500 miles.

A warm-up cycle happens when all of the following conditions exist.

2. Engine must be started

3. The Engine Temperature MUST raise at last 40 degrees ABOVE the Engine Temp at Start up.

4. And the Engine Coolant Temp must reach at least 160 F.

5. Once your engine has gone through 50 warm-up cycles while being driven at least a 500-mile distance it should be set.

Eventhough this is the theory, in practise it can be different. Some do already pass with less cycles.
