Help please!!!

Hi everyone, I am new here and looking for help. Have a 2004 Grand Cherokee limited, after reading lots and lots of threads regarding the blend doors and the recirc door, I am still have a few questions and your help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

We have replaced the blend doors and motor(thru the dash), had ac and no heat prior to replacing them, now have heat and no ac. What could cause this problem?

Also you can hear the recirc door flapping when you are driving down the road. Which way should the door be held open?

Today I performed the AZC self diagnosis it is showing codes 15, 52, 56

Someone please help me out here, I love my jeep and really need to get this fixed without having to take it to the dealer.

Last question, would either of these problems cause heat to blow constantly on the floor board even when all controls are off?

I really appreciate all your patients and help trying to fix this problem without having to take it to the deal.

This Alabama girl needs the AC before summer hits

Re: Help please!!!

Welcome to the garage.
First the codes: 15 is a current active fault code for the left (drivers) temperature door not responding. The other two codes are historical codes, most probably from before the repair. 52 = recirculation door travel too large and 56 right temperature door travel too large. Both are normally broken hinges of the doors.
Do you now have constantly heat? The drivers side blend actuator sits behind the glove box, so i would check first if the connector is well inserted in the blend actuator receptacle. If it is, then remove the actuator and see if the door moves normally. Maybe that you will need to do the calibration first for the actuator to work well. See here: http://www.wjjeeps.com/climate.htm
Regarding the heat on the floor board, does this happen with the blower off?

Re: Help please!!!

Thank you for the help, I will check the doors and actuator again. Yes the heat is constant out of the floor vents with all the controls off and when it is on it is only heat no matter how low you set the controls for the AC.

Re: Help please!!!

Heat only to the floor is a problem with the mode door. This door switches the air from windshield to face to floor. There is no fault code for this door actuator. When the system is on, can you direct the air to the windshield or face?
I would first reset all faults by disconnecting the battery for some minutes. Be aware that if you still have the factory radio, that you will need the code to let it work again.
This will remove all actual and historic codes. Now do the calibration, as shown in the site of WJJeeps.com - Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 1999-2004.
After the calibration, check again for faults and see if there is any difference in the heating.
With the system on and AC switched on, is the air on the passengers side hot as well?
