Re: How much to ask for my 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited HO

I agree with Zetzsche248's price because of both the low mileage and because it is a HO. (First "official" year they ran the HO, it first came out in limited numbers in the 2001 GC Ltd.). And 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Rocky Mountain Edition 4.7 HO with 16,000 miles for $17,80, depending on the condition of the exterior and interior, is not paying way too much, because it's a HO.

The HO nets you a whole $125 in resale value

Re: How much to ask for my 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited HO

I've seen a few here in NE Ohio with around 30000 miles in the past few months with asking prices of $13000-$14000. I'd start at $15000.

Re: How much to ask for my 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited HO

i would definitely go for the 12k mark i just bought an 02 similarly optioned out as the one you are describing and paid 6200 for mine with 104k on it and it is mint not a single spec of rust anywhere on it and even under the hood was really clean. which is hard to do in the New England winters.

That salt and that ice melting crap they put on the roads really does a number on vehicles.

Re: How much to ask for my 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited HO

Thanks for all of the info on price. I am going to ask 12k and I will try and find photos of the Jeep, if I can talk my wife into selling the vehicle. She treats it like a family member and every time I talk about sell Big Red she wants me to keep the 02.

First of paying that much is insane for a 8 yr old WJ. I know it has low miles an is a HO but you could have gotten a really nice WK for that price that is 5 yrs newer.

As for the OP selling the WJ, if it's paid for and you can swing the insurance keep her. But even with the low miles now a days people don't really care about miles. Newer cars can go 200k+ without major problems because technology has gotten so much better.

Back in the day when a car was turning 100k people would off load them. When those cars hit 100k that like our hitting 30k. It's a drop in the bucket on todays engines. With the way the economy is I doubt you'll find someone to pay 15k let alone 13k for a vehicle that is almost 10 yrs old. I could be wrong, but I just don't see it. Good luck with whichever way you choose to go.

But if it were me and it was paid for and I could afford the insurance too I would just hold onto it..
