I accept that I may be the worst mechanic in existence!
I bought a junkyard battery for my jeep so I could sell it and I crossed the terminals like a complete moron when installing it. I noticed smoke billowing from under the engine bays fuse box. However, the fuses are all fine. Is there any reverse current protection in jeeps or did i just completely fry every electrical component in my engine bay? After putting the old battery back in it and trying to start it, it turned over for a good 10 seconds but never started.
