I have a 2000 JGC Laredo and the headlight lenses are awful. I have considered replacing them with aftermarket assemblies, but they are kinda pricey. I have used the restoration kits, which seem to help for a little while.
A friend of mine has a 2002 JGC and her lenses are immaculate. She says she took it to Sams Club and they restored her lenses for $35. They look great and they also warranty the work for 3 years, so she takes her Jeep back every couple of years to get a 'touch up' free of charge.
Would be interesting to know what they use to make/keep the lenses clear again. I have used the Meguiars restoration kit, but it didn´t become as new. Maybe I have just too much pitting on my lenses.
I read an old post that said that Sam's Club uses UV activated clear coat and a UV light. They said the process takes about 90 min. Not sure about the info though.
