Re: Just picked up a 2004 Columbia Edition 4.7 HO

New shoes for the WJ installed. After a quick drive on the highway and gravel I am very happy with them. The 255/65R17 nicely fill up the wells. Now to get the OME spacers installed.

Thanks for the info and fast response!

However I can't see the pictures you say are below.

But yeah if it's a minor rub I can deal with that!

You're at stock height right?

For some reason they did not offer the controls on the Columbia Edition.

Llist of Columbia Edition options:

Rear Vari-Lok 3.73 Progressive Axle Dana 44
Power heated mirrors
Skid plate group

That is the factory Columbia grill with billet inserts installed. I think it really makes the front of it look good. Thanks for the complement.

Re: Just picked up a 2004 Columbia Edition 4.7 HO

Long past due WJ update...

The odometer is showing 96,500 miles. Other that a few little WJ quirks that have popped up (broken wiring between the driver's door and frame, HVAC that shifts to defrost under load) I am happy with it. Changed the power steering pump over the weekend and hope to not do that again. I ended up removing the pump/reservoir and the hard line that attaches to the top as one since I could not get the line to break loose. To get it out I had to remove the oversized Napa 1515 oil filter.

Since the detail last fall I have done the following things to the WJ:
  • Mopar under the bumper hitch
  • Power steering pump
  • A couple of oil changes
I am also looking to pick up some JK 17" Rubicon wheels as they are going cheap on CL out here. Found 5 for $120 and need to call on them. It will easier to upgrade wheels than hunt down a center cap for the Columbia Edition wheels.

Re: Just picked up a 2004 Columbia Edition 4.7 HO

Thanks but for that kind of money I can get a nice used JK Moab which I have like since they rolled of the production line. Working on a set at the moment and will be selling the Columbia wheels later.

Great looking Jeep, if you get new headlights please let me know what ones you go with. I have an '04 SE and need a new set.
