Just picked up a 2004 Columbia Edition 4.7 HO

I will get more pics after I clean it up over the weekend. It has just over 78k miles and was in Florida most of its life. It will replace a 2006 Dodge Ram Quadcab 4x4 as my daily driver. I looked for either a Rocky Mountain Edition or a Columbia and this was the closest to me. I wish it had the factory tow package but that was not a deal-breaker for me.

Re: Just picked up a 2004 Columbia Edition 4.7 HO

Thanks!

Mods planned as finances allow:
- Kolak exhaust with Magnaflow muffler
- Throttle body (Fastman or ??)
- K&N CAI
- Hitch and trans cooler
- Wheels and tires (I am leaning to WK2 17" take-offs as they are cheap around here)
- New headlights (these are pretty cloudy)
- LED Tails

It needs a good detail and I will change all the fluids. Eventually it will get OME shocks as I had them on my XJ and loved them. I also need to fix the driver's side power seat switch and cruise control "set" button.

I fully got on it after I dropped of the Ram and finalized the purchase. The smile on my face was the biggest it has been in a long time.

Oh man that's cool bro. The 4.7HO is a pretty good stock motor.

We own the EXACT same Jeep. Get the Fat Bob's Garage 2.5" lift springs. Fits 31" tires with zero rubbing. Our Jeeps are awesome. And yes, this engine likes to be flogged...but respected. They are rare, and make this particular model (Laredo/Columbia) a top notch purchase. Enjoy.

Re: Just picked up a 2004 Columbia Edition 4.7 HO

I am not going to go crazy with height but might be temped to go with a budget lift (1" spacers) or some OME springs but nothing like 2.5". Had I wanted ride height I would have kept the 2006 Ram 4x4 with 20's that I traded. That was one large and tall vehicle.
