Lift Kit Questions

Hi all,

I am looking at throwing a lift kit (2") into my WG 03. Well, actually was going to just replace the shocks and the rear springs, but it seems cheaper to go with a lift.

I have heard that with some lifts that a change in driveshaft would be necessary, or something to do with the angles of it all. - bit of a newb when it comes to the suspension side of a vehicle.

For those wondering why I am looking at shocks and springs - the right rear slightly sags a little when on a flat surface. if i hit a bump, often the car will throw me around a bit.
I can hear a rattly noise coming from the rear over bumps, and just general driving. having inspected all of the bushes and anything else it could be, i have presumed the shocks.
for those of you who have a towbar - it sounds a bit like the noise of that rattling around in its housing.

anyways, any help would be appreciated.

Re: Lift Kit Questions

The rear a-arm bushings and ball joint is probably toast. Common problem. Springs will not fix it. The lower control arm bushings are probably not much better. IMO

I would second this statement. I did the lower control arms in front and rear but have not got the upper a-arm and ball joint done yet. The rear control arms helped but I still have a "thump" in the floor at stops.
