Lock Circuit Diagram

Does anyone have a wiring diagram of lock/unlock circuit?

The lock/unlock button on my driver's side module has never worked with the Jeep. Every time I want to lock/unlock the Jeep I have to lean over and do it with the passenger's button. I'm looking for a diagram so I can test to see if the switch is bad or if there's a wire in the boot that's broken. I figure once I find the wires that go to the switch from the connector I can jumper them to see what happens. If it locks, the switch is bad. If it does nothing, then there could be a broken wire.

Re: Lock Circuit Diagram

Can't you just pull the wires at the switch and jump them there? If necessary you can work backwards.

I believe (though I haven't pulled the door apart to check) the module is a solid piece. On the driver's door the switch is inside the entire door module and you cannot get to the switch itself. If I could get into the module far enough to jumper on the back of it, I could replace just the switch.

If I can get a wiring diagram, I can jumper at the connector that's easily accessible and see if it's the switch or not. It's a matter of starting at the easiest point and working from there.

I'm getting too old for this stuff. I remember when a switch was just a switch.

Re: Lock Circuit Diagram

Did you get any wiring diagram which showed the lock switch on the drivers door module? The diagrams i have only show the module outlines, but nothing how it looks inside. I would not expect a wire in the door boot, otherwise it would also not unlock the drivers door from the passengers side. At least, when i understood it well that no door unlocks from the drivers switch and all doors from the passengers switch.

I agree man, I wish it was as simple as just a switch. If I find out it's the switch in the driver's door module, I'm going to try to find a way in without breaking everything. It's something like $150 for the module......all for 1 stupid switch.

I just got back to the computer and received the document from Milous. I'm going to look through it tonight and see what I find. I was too busy today replacing all the u-joints on my driveshafts and both rear axle seals. I bought a new toy and it works great......
