Re: Looks like I'll need valve seals...

LOL! Not at all. I'm actually a mechanic at - wait for it - a Jeep dealer. I just put the part about the tools as a joke,I didn't think anyone would get bothered by it. The sad thing is,I have way too much money invested in my tools.

Re: Looks like I'll need valve seals...

Previously i was always buying cheap tools, ending up breaking them or damaging the part which had to be removed. Now i prefer to buy brand tools, they make the job more easy and will last for many years when treated well. I think its money well spend and finally will safe me a lot by not bringing the jeep to someone else.

I'd kill for a good set of snap on stuff. I have mostly all craftsman stuff, and they're great, but every now and then I'll break something. Although they have a great exchange policy, a broken tool and a torn apart car makes it hard to swap out tools.

Right now, yes. I could probably steal my gf's '04 Impala whenever, I'd just rather not drive that hunk of crap.

Snap On breaks just as much. The privilege for the 3 times higher price is they deliver a new one to your job

I have far to fall before the valves hit the piston, to be honest, I think ... ... to reconsider before the piston is at TDC ... ... In my opinion, this would constitute a big problem...
