Re: My 04 fix/build thread!

New hood struts in today! Took a total of 10 min incuding opening the package ha ha. Best "mod" I have done yet Not not only does it not fall on my head but will lift itself up from closed! I'm pretty excited to have that done.

Re: My 04 fix/build thread!

Lol funny how such a small thing makes a big difference. I had to replace mine when I got it, it almost decapitated me once and I decided not to put up with it. I had to replace the struts on my lift gate too, now I can almost use it for chin ups!

Re: My 04 fix/build thread!

Wow haven't updated in a while, SORRY!

Finally got my oil leak fixed and you dont get to see pictures too bad so sad, cry all you want I wont do it. Short of pulling my front end apart and having someone attempt to weld cast aluminum in hopes it wouldn't leak all I could do was gob on JB weld, it's ugly but works at least for now.

Next, I got a tuner from Ryan! Outstanding and I'm not even totally dialed in yet! There were some issues at first but Ryan was a ton of help with a never ending stream of emails, texts and phone calls. You have all seen what the tuner looks like so no pics here either.

More to come and I promise I'll get some pics up when I get a chance to even see my home comp.

Not yet, I'm going to get a new header panel and do it all at once.
Plus I'm undecided on how I want to paint it.

Re: My 04 fix/build thread!

Been a while since I updated. Keep an eye out for the lift and tires coming next week. I got treadwright 245/75R16 Pumas. Retreads........ Those showed up today and look great. Waiting for the lift, fat bobs 2.5" front/2" rear springs with Bilsteins.

Re: My 04 fix/build thread!

Tires and lift done!!! Pretty happy with it in the few miles I have driven it. Rides worlds better with the Bili's. Tires seemed to have great hook up on the icy and snow packed roads in town, not too loud on the freeway. I'll post a review thread on those later. For now this is the only pic I have.

Re: My 04 fix/build thread!

I went with the Fat Bob's 2.5" front/2" rear springs. No making fun of how dirty it is.

Re: My 04 fix/build thread!

Looking good dustin! Glad to hear those retreads are working out for you, I may have to look into them next time I need tires.

Re: My 04 fix/build thread!

Just a side not I came up with a name for it finally. The Phoenix. Because much like the phoenix rises from its own ashes this wj has risen from its wreck and come out better than when it was the day before the wreck.
