Never ending repairs

Both valve covers failed a year after rebuild
Then I purchased oem gaskets at 40 a piece. They still leak

I am sick and tire of this shit.

Anything I do to this shot box doesn't fix it. Any remedies other then selling it

Haha.
I'm well equipped to work on this box of metal. It's just never ending.

Last year went thru 3 sets of ttierod ends.

This time valve cover gaskets. 1 set was cheap blue silicone from autoparts

2nd set is original oem jeep .
Still failed!.

So many breather hoses

Re: Never ending repairs

Mopar Gray is you friend LOL

I had to fix the driver side valvel cover gasket on my 2000 durango 5.9.

I used Felpro gasket. Put a light smear of mopar gray between the gasket and the valve cover and and another on the head mating surface. Put the cover on, tourque to spec and problem solved.

Per tie rod ends, at mercy of the supplier.

I need to change a couple emissions hoses on the Jeep, plastic dont last foreever.

It's the rubber couplers and hoses that over 1 summer get brittle and break

Yes, A clogged PCV valve can sometimes cause valve cover gaskets to leak.

I run OEM, sometimes it's worth the extra money.

Don't be afraid to ask the dealer parts guy for a discount. Most that Ive asked gave me 10% off and set up an account for me. I currently get parts at wholesale (20% off) an my dealer, but I've been buying every Chrystler part for my vehicles from them since i had my Ram Charger in the mid 80s.
