He called some other place and said the 5100's are for lifted jeeps only not for stock WJs. I passed on the other models just to be sure this is correct before I purchase. Should I go with what summit has or look for the 5100s elsewhere?

Man the Bilstein HD's with the sways should be really sleek . You are correct the 5100's are only for lifted applications, Im pretty sure most of us have the Bilstein HD's (I might be wrong though). If your at stock height, the Bilstein HD's would be ideal.

Re: new member - lots of pics - FIRST THREAD!

thanks chuck, going to order the HD's tomorrow. i'll update with pics once the shocks come in. I'm holding off on installing the sways because I want to have my mind totally blown with all of the upgrades installed at once. can't wait to feel the difference!

thanks michael! the LED tails are bad ass. i'll try and get some more pics of it at night maybe even a video. you should save up and get them. they aren't that much just look'em up on eBay. i bought the smoked ones.. so if you like my look then make sure it says smoke in description. i'm really thinking about blacking it out to a certain extent. i want to paint my bumpers a darker gray or possibly black, and also powder coat my stock wheels black to give the truck a darker meaner look.. what do you think?

Re: new member - lots of pics - FIRST THREAD!

yes definetly powder coat or paint the wheels black! i did and it changed the whole look of my jeep for the better! i will probably have black wheels on the rest of my vehicles for life because i just love the blacked out look and i hate chrome! i wanted to paint my bumpers and side cladding, but im not sure how good the paint would last over time. it would look good, but im not gonna chance it peeling off. ill look into those on ebay LED tail lights on ebay cause they r sick!

Re: new member - lots of pics - FIRST THREAD!

UPDATE!

Alright I installed my new K&N Air induction kit today. Below are before and after pics.

I've only driven it 3 streets out of my neighborhood and I could already notice the difference. It's way worth the pricey tag! The biggest difference for me is the smoothness in shifting. I know it has nothing to do with the trans but I guess the extra air helps the engine and trans complete a better transition maybe? I dunno but it excellerates much smoother and quicker and sounds amazing. You only notice the sound when you're on the pedal but its beefy and not over the top which is good. I'm happy with the upgrade and would recommend it to anyone with a WJ. Just waiting for my shocks to come in so I can install them including my front/rear addco sway bars. Should have that completed by the weekend.
