Ha, yea, happy wife happy life. Means she doesn't have to try and learn how to drive my big wj as apposed to her tiny vw cabrio lol.
I ended up ordering two evics, I realized after looking at the guide that I ordered one from an 04, so I searched the proper model number from an 02 with instant mpg, picked it up for a whooping 23 off ebay!
Waiting for refund 34$ 04 model to order few more goodies

Parked jeep steel enough to almost scrape bumper, heat cycled twice, took a good amount in, have had HOT heat since temo gauges stays at 210 with a lot less fluctuation.

Wife car needs to be revved for the alt to kick on and charge... Trying my other alt tomorrow

Re: New member, new jeep. Build thread

Heat cycled three times today, the last two times it took zero fluids in so I'm pretty sure the heat is good now, its almost two hot at the vents now.

Got new window regulator and got that installed so no more falling passenger window!!

And also received new evic to find out that mine was unplugged.. Works great, and gas mileage is at around 11-13 in our crappy stop and go town traffic.

If anyone is in need of a 2000 wj 54AE evic with mpg I'll sell the one I have cheap, can sell through eBay doesn't matter, and I don't want much, at least shipping.

Slow and steady progress is a good thing. So what do you think of the WJ after more driving?

Re: New member, new jeep. Build thread

I love it, I have a lifter that's sticking when cold but almost completely goes away once warmed up a bit, no happy but gotta expect that with 220. Ill rebuild it when she blows, or replace it. I plan to keep her around.
happy to have no more air leaking through the pass window, and sad to see the garbage gas mileage I'm getting.

Since I just recently started get my lifter tick, what can I do to prevent it or help it stay as healthy as possible?
The ticks coming from the passenger side front portion of the side, she sounds, runs, and drives fine when worm and cold tick isn't the best sounding when she's really cold, but I worm her up usually always.

Still fighting the air, I can hear is squishing, heat gets hot under load, luke warm on idle. Bought a coolant flush kit going to try and use it as a breather hole at my coolant line on top of the block as that's where the air is.

I'll post some pics later,

Would love some insight on the lifter and if I should be worried

Re: New member, new jeep. Build thread

Not worried about the lifter tick anymore, goes right away once worm.

I patched a weird rot hole at the drivers wheel well that went right to my feet.

Fixed front washer nozzles

Replaced hood shocks,

Locked keys in jeep so now have a spare key and my key code lol

Taxes were approved, so here's my list.

Ccfl angle eye headlights
Rough country 2 inch lift(shocks and spacers)
Nee front control arm kit
New oil pressure sender unit.
New vcg
New timing kit

I also plan to flush my coolant system with a hose very soon, heat is hot on setting three at idle but not on 4 and is extremely hot anything past 1200-400rpm

I wanted to put that Rough Country lift on my Jeep but they said it doesn't fit the AWD(QuadraDrive) Jeeps.
