New wj 99. What's up?

Just came up on a cheap 1999 jeep grand Cherokee with 94k miles 4.7 limited

Just changed shocks,Plastidiped grill and lower grill. tinted tails. New rims. Not much.

I also did all ken wood speakers and tweeters with a 4 chan jl audio amp and new ken wood double din.

What you think?
What should be done?

Re: New wj 99. What's up?

Jeep looks nice.
Depending on how long you want to use the jeep, i would start with some fresh fluids, engine oil and filter, air filter, plugs, PCV valve, diff fluids and transmission fluid and filters. Also check the coolant and change it if it looks old or dirty. Also brake fluid (should be changed every 2 years, but almost nobody does it) and power steering fluid should be changed.

I changed oil already a few miles ago. Along with the filter.
Ima do the spark plugs and cables this week.
And the air filter. I'll check out all the fluids as soon as I head out side.
I want to get some nice thick tires and some 17 or 18 rims for off reading here and then.

Re: New wj 99. What's up?

The good news is that the 4.7 doesn't have spark plug cables, the coils are mounted directly on each plug.
Depending on if you have Quadra Drive, you will need limited slip additive for the diffs.
I forgot to mention the T-case fluid. Jeep gives it a special number, but its Mobil 424 fluid.

Re: New wj 99. What's up?

I recommend Gen 3 projectors (ebay) and the HID kits from our vendor, Xenon Depot.
http://www.jeepgarage.org/f60/

HID's make a HUGE difference.

Addco swaybars are worth every penny for the improvement you get in handling too.

Re: New wj 99. What's up?

Projectors are a must!

For HIDs, if you have the money then Xenon is the way to go but DDM is pretty good for the price.

Shorty antenna. Add some mesh behind the upper and lower slots. De-badge or PD badges. That would be about the exterior mods from me.

Re: New wj 99. What's up?

Like for the shorty antenna anyone? I should be. Ordering my projectors ASAP so I'll post pics up. Maybe hids will come shortly after.

Idk if debadging is something I want to do. I plastidiped the jeep logo in front n back and the v8, I debadged the 4x4 tho hated that. I'm thinking tinting the from soon like 35% maybe

Re: New wj 99. What's up?

What projectors did you go with?

I think PD badges on light colored Jeeps looks good. I debadged mine because it looked weird black (and my friends daughter ripped off the consonants lol)

What's the law in your state on front windows? Also, what's your back five tinted?

I'm planning on doing the back 5% with the fronts 20%. I'll prolly have them a month before I get a ticket

Re: New wj 99. What's up?

I have a really bad driving record so I can't go with too dark, my laws are only limo in the back and nothing on the front or 35% all around. If I go darker the cops will pull me over ASAP. All because of how out there and how much attention my other cars have, I've always had huge rims lol but I haven't ordered any projectors yet but I'm thinking of getting

Re: New wj 99. What's up?

hmm tough decision. 35% all the way around would give it a cleaner overall look but limo tint is dope.

same link? but those are nice. I like the running lights above the lights.
