Exclamation P0123 gremlin... haaaalp - '03 GC Limited 4.0L 2WD

Hello again everyone. I had previously posted about a 2/3 shift issue i was having with my 42re. However, upon a heck of a lot of research and diagnosing, I have come to suspect that the shift issue is a direct symptom of the P0123 ( TPS circuit A high output) code that does not seem to want to go away. I have tried a new TPS, still nothing. I have traced wires, cleaned grounds, cleared codes, jumped rope, rubbed my tummy... all to no avail. My TPS signal output is at over 5v with KOEO, no matter what position the TPS is at, or whether the pigtail is plugged in or not. So, basically, the signal wire is being fed over 5v from somewhere, back to the tps itself. I assume this wire should be dead when disconnected from the tps and should only be supplying power back to the PCM through the TPS itself??? The 5v supply is reading 5.63v while the signal wire reads 5.11v. so i dont think its the TPS supply crossing over. I've got the CS and speed controls disconnected at the column all the while. Was hoping anyone here could chime in if they have experienced this before. Maybe point me towards something i have overlooked. I may just pull the entire harness and check wall the wires one by one, but im not crazy about that idea. Thanks ahead of time for any and all help, or even just reading through this.

The measurements you did is with the TPS connector disconnected? If you then still measure 5.11V on pin 3 of the TPS connector, then it seems that this voltage is coming from the PCM itself.
Attached the wiring schematic for the TPS and 5V supply for the sensors.

That's what I was thinking. Meaning of the pcm is shot then, right?

Yes, i would suspect an internal short in the PCM. You could remove the C1 connector from the PCM and check if the voltage goes to 0V. If it doesn´t, then there must be a short with an other wire.
I presume that the jeep is not driveable and not reacting on the throttle now?

Well I pulled the entire harness out to assure myself it wasn't a short in the harness. It checked out. I will be reinstalling it tmrw. I'll chime back in. Thanks again Frango.

Did you mean to check the voltage at the pcm for the 23 pin with the C1 out?

No, i ment to measure at the TPS connector with the C1 disconnected. If there is still 5.11V, then the PCM is not the problem.

Well Frango. Its turns out it was the PCM all along. Lol. What a ride. I cut the signal wire just past the C1 and sure enough, 5v coming from the box... Thanks for all the help bud. I ordered one online. I'll be sure to post up my final results. Thanks for the guidance man.
