P0306

Hi guys . My ride WJ 2000 V8 4.7 power tech . It keeps showing code p0306 I replaced fuel injector , ignition coil and spark plug and it's still the same . Btw my battery dies it's almost expired , could that be the reason? Your help is highly appreciated.

So your problem is a misfire on cylinder #6. Does the engine run rough, showing that its a real misfire? If so, i would start doing a compression check. Could be that a rocker fell off and the respective valve is not opening anymore. Instead of doing the compression check, you could directly remove the cylinder head cover (rh head as seen from drivers position) and check if the rockers are in place. Did the engine overheat recently?
Besides this, it could eventually be a wiring problem, or a problem with the PCM.

I thought it could a rocker as you've mentioned
Tomorrow I'll follow the compression test then I'll let you know
What about the battery?

I would not expect a bad battery to cause a P0306 code, but if you know its bad, you better replace it before it lets you stranded.
