pcm remove silicone.resolder chips

Wj..2004 overland...bad pcm code.butbmy wj is still running....I've seen that guy on u 2ube..says its the solder that's so thin it cracks..so how to remove silicone 2 gwt 2 the chips?
Any kind of special solution that will desolve it?any 1 hear any ideas? Thx tons!
I have 2 pcms so I can operate on one

Sofar i didnīt hear of someone who did it himself, but it most probably is possible. You have to be quite carefull soldering there, because too much heat will destroy the chip.
Did you already open the case, because many times corrosion can cause internal shorts. And indeed, removing the silicon will be quite a challenge.
